Opening image- setting the scene with a red carpet approach and introducing the stars.

Catalyst- The film is going to have sound and there is a lot of excitement.

Mid point- The film is being recorded and it is coming along.

All is lost- after the first showing it was apparent that everyone hated it and laughed at how poor the quality was.

Finale- Kathy's talent was recognized and she was given the credit she deserved.

This film was very unique cause it was a mix of a musical and the into to sound film. They addressed some of the problems that were faced when sound was first introduced in a film.

The first movie with sound was the jazz singer and they mentioned a lot of it with out mentioning it.

The filming year was great cause it made me feel that it was in the time period. It was an early age of film when they are starting to bust. It was a starting of something big.

Amazing Grace

I really enjoyed this film because I felt like I was in in the past where the film was taking place. One of the reasons why they captured my attention was because of the accents that were used. It felt very authentic and I was able to lose myself in the story. Some great examples in the movie for dialogue was not what they said but what they did. Small body motions can give you a sense of what they're trying to say. This could be uneasy pacing, nervously fiddling with your hands, for saying whatever you want with your eyes.

The structure of this film is taken place from the eyes of the main character and his goal abolish the slave trade. At the beginning of the film we quickly understood he was a minority and a very small voice. As the movie continues his views become accepted and people start to change. 

Opening Image-

Theme- you and I will change the world

Set up- he is going to try to abolish the slave trade

Catalyst- at this point there is no going back, he is fully committed

Debate- he presents the bill in Congress, from that point on A decision was made

B story- the love story with Barbara spoon

Break into two- shakes Clarksons hand

Fun and games- progress is starting to be made on his bill

Midpoint- the act of the bill is in action, at this point little success is made

Bad guys close in- his Bill could be on hold for year

All is lost- some of his friends have died, he has been called a traitor, he's losing his health, and lots of hatred has been toward his bill.

Dark night of the soul- going to give it his best shot

Act three- the bill is then fought for

Finale-the bill passes with amazing numbers

Final image- a picture of the Westminster Abbey which is his final burial place.

The Deus ex Machina was not a giant act like it was in Batman, but in fact it was groundwork set by his friend Wilbur. His friend was able to give the pathway that he needed to pass his bill.
